Wow...you've come a long way, Jon Henner, from sitting in one of Clerc Hall's "social rooms" with me and Alison Handfinger. Could that really have been 6 years ago? It looks like you're happy....and I'm happy for you.
I'm married, have a 1yo daughter and stay as far away from Gally as possible. I am getting my Masters in Deaf Ed, though, so I haven't gotten Deaf Culture completely out of my life. (Not a student at Gally, no worries).
Take care of yourself..:)

Hi Jonathan,

You may or may not remember me. I worked in the Philosophy department office at ISU - the first desk just inside the door. You mainly worked with Iris since most of your questions had to do with advising. One of my jobs is to put together the Alumni Newsletter every year which includes contacting alums I select to give an update on what they're doing for the "News from Alums" section. As I was starting to write your letter I noticed that you live in Chandler, AZ and then I noticed that you live on S Alma School Road. Well you won't believe this! Our son, Noah, works at ASU and when he first moved to Phoenix in 2002 he lived at 125 S. Alma School Road, Apt. 1120 - The Greens apartment complex!!! Is that some sort of very strange coincidence? And to top that he was a Philosophy minor here at ISU and past president of the club. Our daughter, Kirsten, followed her brother there over two years ago and works at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts. It is a very very small world for sure. Anyway when I discovered that I googled you and found your website. I would be very interested to know what your position at MCI entails as instructional designer and if you wouldn't mind sharing that and anything else with your fellow alums. Our daughter-in-law works as an instructional designer also at a tech school there. Anyway it looks like you're very happy there in the desert. Our kids are too, though it has been a bit cold lately, and we love visiting them about once a year. I see also you're still riding your bike. Must be a bit nerve racking with that Phoenix traffic but I guess growing up the burbs of Chicago you're used to that. I usually end my letter to alums with "hope this finds you doing well" in your case I'll end with "glad to see you're doing so great!" Look forward to hearing from you. Take care.

Donna
